When asked to comment on what drove this change, Leathwood replied, “Over the past few years we found we were dealing with 2 distinct client streams: International Investors and Snowbirds, primarily from Canada and the EU, and Domestic Investors and Snowbirds, primarily from the Mid West and North Eastern US. These 2 customer groups have very different profiles. International Investors tend to buy cash flow and cap rates. Domestic Buyers tend to focus on lifestyle and location. As a result of these different drivers and consumer touch points, it made sense for us to split our marketing and branding, into two separate customer streams, providing more customized and client focussed content to these 2 distinct groups.”
The SRQ Boomer Homes brand, focusses on Baby Boomer communities in the SRQ market area: Sarasota – Lakewood Ranch – Bradenton – Venice – West Villages. The SRQ area contains 2 of the top 10 fastest selling master planned communities in all of USA. Lakewood Ranch is #2, West Villages in Venice #4.
Leathwood concluded his remarks by stating, “In the past it was not uncommon to have clients call in, who were interested in moving to Florida, but were unsure of what area in the State would offer them the best lifestyle choice.
